[okl4-developer] 2.1 under VMware Workstation

I am developing a VM package that lets on perform OKL4 development under an
Ubuntu VM.
I have all of the software installed and even have the facilities to blast a
disk that you then start on a "sister" VM that is linked to the development
VM via a virtual serial line ;)
This all works Great.
I hacked the OKLinux kernel and turned on support for PCnet32 and intel
E100 (the two ethernet devices that VMware virtualizes.
The images boots up just fine but dies when it tries to perform DHCP
discovery through the interface...

ANy ideas from anyone?
I'm more than willing to attempt to debug this if someone is willing to give
