I've done this and it worked like a charm, i managed to get my server
tested. however the same thing with a program running inside Wombat give a
seg fault, i suspected this kind of result but could you confirm this is
normal behavior ?

I got some more question to test it deeper but since it is a pretty
different problem i think it is better to start a new thread.

Anyway my hello server works so i'll be posting another "from newbie to
newbie" HowTo soon.
