Thank for reply.
My okl4 system do have a serial port. I'm connecting the serial cable to my
laptop and since my laptop don't have any serial port available, I have to
use a USB converter as a replacement.

Hi,
I dont understand, your okl4 system does not have a serial port, so you
have conected a usb to rs232 converter to your okl4 system usb port? if this
is the case, then, you might need a usb driver for your OKL4,
All the best,
Jorge

Is Putty listening in to the serial port with the correct parameters?
Please read Section 3.7 of the Putty documentation:
http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/0.60/puttydoc.txt
<http://the.earth.li/%7Esgtatham/putty/0.60/puttydoc.txt>
The serial parameters are:
Baud rate (Speed): 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity bit: none
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: none
Serial line should correspond to the USB port your adaptor is
connected to. See if your Windows' "Hardware Profile" control panel
helps you there (don't exactly remember what it's called, but it's
been a while since I've used Windows... :)
