Thanks for your reply, after reading some more threads of the mailing list
I have finally switched to a wrapped Makefile solution, I finally found it
nicer. I have done for myself a mini-howto. It is mostly a rewrite of what
was said in the ML but since it can be useful to some people i guess i'll
post it soon to make it avaliable.

I still got a little problem it seems that the final image isn't rebuilt
when rebuilding a Linux application this way, I also tested with pciutils
to be sure. It really isn't a big deal but i wonder if a way of telling
SCons that the image must be rebuilt in such cases exists. Cleaning stuffs
does the work but it is a little sad to rebuild the whole thing for a
single app :).
