I'm glad that you finally solved your problem.

Concerning the howto they are free material and any update that could 
help them to be clearer or more complete are really welcome.
In short if you have in mind any modification to make them better for 
the following users feel free to tune them. I am pretty sure this is the 
best way to build up real good learning stuffs over time.
