I've got a version of Scheme running under an OKLinux thread. I'm very
interested in getting a version of Erlang running that can fully take
advantage of an SMP architecture running under (OK)L4. L4 has feature that
would be very desirable for this type of thing...

* Fast context switching time
* Very fast IPC
* Good thread model

Maybe the Erlangers at Ericsson (or where ever they are hacking at now) are
already working on this but I figured it would be a good project for me to
delve deeply into L4 and functional programming with an eye to building a
system that could be "embedded" into a Intel SMP platform

I'm interested in getting drivers working for intel e1000 or Broadcom NIC
chipsets. There are Linux drivers available for these devices (e1000 and
tg3) and It would be nice if I could leverage them in some way.
If you have an 8 core Erlang machine, it's kinda lame to connect it to the
network via pc32 or Lance ;)
