1. why OKL4 Microkernel?

LEON, because  its is a simple as you getting your self a virtex development
board, download it, sintetize it, "burn it", and you're ready to get your
hands dirty, plus it is extremely well documented. But there should be some
other interesting Open Source processors out there.

3.What will be the benefit of this project?
