Hi all,
Release 1.5.2 is now available from:
http://portal.ok-labs.com/downloads/okl4
This includes a number of bug fixes, and also includes support for
MIPS and ARM11. (At this stage support is available only at the OKL4
level, there is not yet an OK Linux port available for MIPS and
ARM11.) There have been a number of internal changes, which may
possibly affect existing code. If on upgrading you have any specific
problems, please mail the list for advice and more details.
Please note: There has been a change to license in this release.
Specifically, the kernel, Iguana root server, and libraries are now
released under a new 'Sleepycat' style license. This license places
some more restrictions on the way in which you are able to use the
code[1]. Specifically, you are required to make available the source
code of any software that uses, directly or indirectly, the OKL4
source code.
This change is an addition of a new license, and does not remove
existing licenses. As a consequence the extra restrictions placed on
you by this new license does not remove the obligations placed on you
by the existing BSD licenses. Also, please understand, that OK Linux
related files are released directly under the GPL license.
This should not affect you if you are using OKL4 in a hobbyist,
educational or evaluation setting, however it is likely that if you
are deploying an OKL4 based solution commercially, you should obtain
a commercial license from Open Kernel Labs.
The specific license text is available in the source files of the
release.
Cheers,
Ben Leslie
