No need.
The gumstix has an xscale processor. pxa255 iirc.

For a different platform with an xscale processor you may like to have a
look at:
tools/machines.py

For new platforms you often need to write serial and timer drivers.
have a look at drivers/* 
Although you may not need to do much additionally.
